Porsche Penske Announce Shuffled IMSA/WEC Lineups for 2025
Coming off their multiple championships in IMSA while also on the verge of winning titles in the WEC, Porsche Penske Motorsport have revealed their GTP and Hypercar driver plans for 2025.
Starting in North America, the championship-winning No. 7 car will see Felipe Nasr will share duties with Nick Tandy as the tandem will aim to defend Porsche's GTP title. Tandy will be switching over from the No. 6 to replace the departing Dane Cameron. As for the No. 6, Mathieu Jaminet's new co-pilot will be Matt Campbell, who goes from the third-man in for Michelin Endurance Rounds to a new full-time role.
Laurens Vanthoor will remain as the third man for the No. 7 in enduros, while Kevin Estre will do the same for the No. 6.
For the World Endurance Championship, the shuffling about will see Julian Andlauer promoted to a Hypercar factory driver as he departs the No. 99 Proton Competiton 963 to pilot the No. 5, where he'll be joined by Michael Christensen. The No. 6 will remain unchanged as Laurens Vanthoor and Kevin Estre will run it back as they currently sit first in the Hypercar standings with a very good chance to wrap up the drivers' title in two weeks time in Bahrain.
Along with the departing Cameron, André Lotterer and Frédéric Makowiecki will also be leaving Porsche at the conclusion of the 2024 season.
