IMSA Reveals Full-Season Entry List For 2025 (warning: if your erection lasts longer than four hours seek medical attention)
At their annual State of the Sport conference before Petit Le Mans, IMSA have pulled back the curtain on the absolutely bonkers 2025 season we have coming our way once 2024 is wrapped and in the books.
Feast your eyes on the full-season entry list for all four racing classes - the combined total finishes at 48 (!!) total for the WeatherTech Championship series, while the number raises to 56 for the Michelin Endurance rounds - and the expectation for the Rolex 24 at Daytona is more than 60 (6-0) cars will be on the grid for the opening race of the campaign.
There are plenty of surprises sprinkled throughout the teams listed below, highlighted by the Pfaff Motorsports and Iron Lynx SC63 making the cut when rumors have been swirling that their future in IMSA was unsteady.

GTP
Major Pointers -
- The No. 63 Iron Lynx Lamborghini SC63 are confirmed for their second season in IMSA after the team was facing the possibility of pulling their single-car effort out of North America to fill the two-car Hypercar mandate in the WEC
- Wayne Taylor and Cadillac are back together again and sticking with the No. 10 and the No. 40
- Meyer Shank Racing is back with two Acura ARX-06s - the No. 60 and the No. 93
- The Heart of Racing are running the No. 23 Aston Martin Valkyrie - the level of hype for that thing is almost impossible to measure properly
- Both customer-backed 963s remain for year two - the Proton machine and the JDC-Miller Banana Boat

- Look at Pratt Miller entering into the LMP2 game! That's one we weren't expecting to see
- The No. 04 Algarve Pro Racing will be back on track after Crowdstrike took the remainder of 2024 off following their software outage that blacked out half the world
GTD Pro
Major Pointers -
- Pfaff Motorsports are back! There was a report just last week that without significant financial backing, Pfaff were on the verge of closing their doors. It seems those financial troubles have been alleviated.
- The absence of Risi Competizione is certainly noticeable
- Paul Miller Racing has expanded to a dual-car effort
- The No. 163 Lamborghini will mark the first full-season Huracan to enter the GTD Pro ranks

- We're missing the No. 88 Ford Proton Mustang. Could they be added at a later date? Let's hope so
