Heart of Racing Confirm Valkyrie GTP Entry, GTD Entry For 2025

We've been waiting for this one for a minute!

The Heart of Racing and IMSA officially announced their team plans for 2025, as the Seattle-based outfit has confirmed that their Valkyrie GTP single-car entry will enter the fray for the 2025 season, with the prototype machine taking the No. 23.

As the HoR shuffle their team plans, they also announced that they will be removing their Vantage GT3 Evo from the GTD Pro ranks (hence the No. 23 moving over to the Valkyrie) but they will continue to field the No. 27 in GTD competition next season, which is obviously great news.

As of now there is no word on who will be behind the wheel for either the GTP or GTD rides next season, and following the conclusion of Petit Le Mans in a few days time we expect word to trickle out in regards to who will be piloting the highly-anticipated Valkyrie machine.

Another natural question to ask is what will come of their efforts in the World Endurance Championship. The expectation is that HoR will also run in the WEC for next season, but for them to do so they'd need to field two cars to appease the WEC's new rule of minimum required-entry amount for manufacturers starting in 2025. Does HoR have the resources to run three Valkyrie cars across the globe right out of the gate? It would be a huge undertaking.

Each step we take in the development of the Valkyrie gets us one step closer to seeing the car on track, which is still hopefully set for the Rolex 24 Hour at Daytona in January. Fingers crossed.

More to come...
